Introduced in the year 1985 as a replacement for the Perkins P4 engine, this fully indigenised 4 cylinder 3.3 litre engine in the 41.5 - 59 hp range was the preferred choice of LCV and Maxi Cab which became a hugely popular model on the Indian roads. This apart this engine was also preferred by the farming community as well as by the material handling segment. This engine can also be custom made for marine applications and meets the current emission standards prescribed for the above applications.
